I'm Summer, founder of Highest Flow Studios based in sunny San Diego, California, however, my journey started a little less salty. Born and raised in Michigan, I call the Great Lakes State home. After attending Central Michigan University, I graduated with more than a degree in Advertising & Psychology but digital marketing internships, national marketing awards, lifelong friends, and a late (but unsurprising) ADHD diagnosis. My hard work paid off quickly, and at graduation I was recruited by a Fortune 25 company, where I continued my journey into digital marketing. 

Six months after graduating, I started my wellness blog, The Sierra Guide, while working at my corporate job. It gave me the chance to apply the digital marketing and website strategies I was learning, while also scratching the entrepreneurial itch I had deep down. 

My blog also became an outlet for me to explore my own well-being. As I entered adulthood, I finally had the resources to prioritize my mental health, break old patterns, and discover what I truly wanted. My time in corporate was diverse and challenging—while I learned a lot, the constant burnout made it clear that the environment wasn’t helping me heal. After a toxic work experience, I decided to trust my intuition, quit my job, and take a break. (shoutout to that 'little' blog hustle for some savings during this time!)

Taking a break wasn’t just a pause; it was a turning point for me. It gave me the clarity to recognize the root causes of my burnout and see how entrepreneurship was way more aligned with my strengths, especially being a woman with ADHD. Starting out as a part-time Marketing Consultant for small business owners, I tried a little bit of everything, taking on projects in graphic design, virtual assisting, web design, podcast producing, social media manager, biz operations, and creating marketing strategies, and more!! Slowly but surely I began niche myself down and find what truly inspired me.

After two years, I realized that the common thread in all my work that inspired me the most was organizing entrepreneurs and helping them create websites that not only transformed their businesses but also gave them more confidence in what they do. Or, as my clients put it, when everything just flows together. That’s when the idea for Highest Flow Studios was born—and the rest is history!
